Cottage food label requirements in Minnesota
The short version
A label on food made in a home kitchen in Minnesota carries six things wherever you are: what it is, everything in it heaviest first, the major allergens, who made it, how to reach you, and the date. On top of that comes the wording below.

The detail
Minn. Stat. 28A.152 (cottage foods exemption). The same statement must ALSO appear on a clearly legible sign or placard at the point of sale, and on the web page if you sell online - the label alone is not enough. Each container must additionally show the producer's full name or business name, the registration number or the address from the application, the date the food was prepared, and the ingredients including major allergens. Registration with MDA is annual and tiered by sales; MDA's page gave a $78,000 annual ceiling with a fee-free tier up to roughly $7,665 and a $50 fee above that. Cottage pet treats are covered by the same statement requirement.
